Fiddleheads, Wild - 12 x 8 oz - From Crown O'Maine

Fresh fiddleheads come in once a year, only available while the black flies hatch and the alewives run upstream. The tightly curled heads of the ostrich fern have to be picked in lovely hidden places just before they stretch and unfold into expressive rippling fronds. 

Ours come to you from a trusted chain of partners who pick responsibly and clean them like they would for their own nana. The cleaning process we've developed over the years also creates excellent shelf life in cold refrigerated storage, extending this ephemeral season to everyone can get their taste of springtime magic.  Our in-house crew does the hand-packing for retail each year in a food-safety inspected and audited facility, making sure you get the very best of this wild-picked food.
