Description

"These colorful large kidney-shaped beans are beige with red stripes. Originally sourced from Rob Johnston, founder of Johnny's Select Seeds many years ago. According to him, it was called Andrew Kent and was originally grown on the island of Vinalhaven in Maine. It looks like the Boston Beautiful bean pictured in the 1929 book Beans of New York. While it is beautiful, we call it cranberry to be more descriptive. We are likely the only producers of this rare heirloom bean. These work well for baked beans, chilis, and sides." -Adapted from Baer's Best website
