Shipping & Delivery

When you sign up for a new account, we will set up your delivery day options to match the days we are in your area.  We deliver from Bangor to Boston and many points east and west.  Have a question about routes? Email [email protected] for more info.

At the time of delivery, we will bring your products to the reasonable location of your choice (no cellars, dinghys, or barn lofts please).  We will not leave product unattended unless we have been provided prior authorization AND there is adequate refrigeration on site for temp sensitive products.

Our Delivery Team will check that each item has been delivered request a signature on the invoice copy.

We do offer 'call ahead' service - please request this when you set up your account or your order and the driver can call you 30 min or 1 hr ahead.

Privacy & Security

We take your privacy and security seriously.  We use third party software for online ordering and payment processing.  We do not store your credit card information at Crown O'Maine .  We do not sell your contact information.  On occasion, we will share your work email with a local producer who is introducing their products to buyers.

Returns & Credits

Please check your products within 24 hrs of delivery.  We always offer 100% quality guarantee on our produce and strive to match your product expectations overall.  

Should you find a credit is in order, please request credit within 72 hrs of delivery and send a photo of the issue and product lot number.  This helps us resolve root causes with producers.

Please be prepared to return the product if requested to do so.

Credits can be taken off your next invoice payment.  If you need a refund check instead, please request one and we are happy to issue it. 99% of our clients place recurring orders, so this is uncommon!

Ordering

Online ordering is relatively new for Crown O'Maine.  We appreciate your flexibility as we work on the system and get it working well.  

We have a couple important pre-order deadlines!

Local pre-order items are ordered by 11:30am on Mondays and ship Friday-Thursday following. 

Produce 'From Away' Pre-orders happen three times per week - see the item for guidance on the cycle.

The online ordering system will automatically SPLIT your pre-order items from your regular order so they can be scheduled in the correct delivery window.

We have a minimum.  Why? To help ensure that producers get paid on time, the business operates profitably, and make a Crown O'Maine delivery efficient and productive for both parties.  When these things don't happen, we erode the efforts of many years to build infrastructure for distribution for Maine farms...we're in it together.  The minimum makes sure the dollars flow and we can keep doing this!

The minimum varies by location.  Typically Maine accounts have a $400 minimum and NH/MA is $600.

Payments

We accept checks, ACH, credit cards.  New accounts are pre-paid online or COD at delivery for the first four orders, after which we offer net 14 terms.

Accounts that are past terms will not be able to place new orders until the past due balance is paid.

Viewing Orders

Online ordering is fun!  You can view your order history, current orders, and keep a running shopping list in your account!

Updating Account Information

Help us keep your account info up to date by updating emails, phone numbers, shipping and billing info and contact names.  As we initially start using the online ordering system, we appreciate your help in getting the dots connected in new ways!
