Saint Lawrence apples are a good eating apple with a distinctive appearance. They have red stripes over a light green base, and white flesh sometimes streaked with red. Their flavor has been described as 'sweet and sprightly', with a hint of lemon tartness. Their flesh is fine grained and juicy. Saint Lawrences are a good dessert apple for fresh eating, sauce, and jellies. It can be used for baking, but doesn't stay as firm as other cooking apples.
