To be honest, a description of broccoli's preferred growing conditions sound a lot like a Mainer's: relatively cool seasons with full sun, consistent water, fertile soils with good drainage, and temperatures between 60 - 70 degrees; tolerates light frosts just fine. Add in some moose visitors, wave away some bugs, and you've got a recipe for one of Maine's best crops. 

This broccoli comes to you fresh from our fields, with good solid heads of tight florets in the natural range of good green color to purple blush. Broccoli likes to be kept cold and can stand being packed in ice quite well.
